The two years lockdown was a shock to the world and a ban to some people’s dreams. Jess and Marty Ansen were one of them. The retired couple were waiting for the lockdown to end to live the last few years of their life for them and their dreams.
Finally when the world returned to its normal, the couple booked its first cruise on 19 July 2022. And since then they are the new and true wanderers who actually depict the meaning of wanderlust.
Jess and Marty have spent more than 500 days on cruise and not planning to stop anywhere in future soon.
They start their day with ping pong, hula dancing and attending ballroom. Marty likes to make new lifelong friends. They have spent more time on the cruise than the captain itself.
Now they are known as celebrities on the cruise ship. They earned the title by booking 51 cruises back to back which made them familiar with many people on the ship along with cruise members.
They say they forgot to do bed now and how to clean the house because they haven’t done it in a long span of time. In an interview they even said living on cruise is cheaper than living in a retirement home and managing it. When it comes at an affordable price people actually live not just bodily but whole heartedly. Jess and Marty are examples of it.
They meet their families when the ship stops at ports. They have planned to live their whole life like this by moving, seeing and enjoying it.
