Man stabbed by two robbers turns Genius

How often do we see people loving Maths ?

For Jason Padgett maths is everything after he met with an incident outside a karaoke bar.

Two Robbers stabbed him brutally on September 13th of 2002 causing brain injury. Though it had negative impacts of OCD ( fear of the outer world in him ) which was later turned into a vision related to maths.

He started seeing mathematical shapes like rectangles and squares in everything he observed, from start to end of the day through complex patterns everywhere.

After he understood those patterns he started to draw what he saw which looked amazing. However, with the interest to know the cause, he met Berit Brogaad neuro physician after 3 ½ years.

A talk between them found that he was diagnosed with “synaesthesia” which occurred by the interchange of senses in the mind due to brain injury.

This synaesthesia also occurs in different ways where people observe colours upon hearing music or smell. Synaesthesia is observed in only 4% of the entire world with many cases being unreported.

After analysis, it was found that Padgett had access to the conscious mind (which common people do not have) along with the visual cortex working simultaneously by which he could observe the mixed complex patterns in daily life.

He is a mathematical genius now observing complex shapes everywhere and converting them into drawings or theories who once never believed in maths in real life. However he is out there helping many by explaining maths in a clear way to understand.

He believes that a circle is a formation of small squares or rectangles that can be visualized only upon close observation.

There is a special thing in between his observations that he can combine maths and physics into theories using mathematical shapes that are believed by intelligent people around which shows how genius he is.
